Lollapalooza lineup announced!
2008-04-11 22:02
Lollapalooza, the festival I remember as a child as the "Red Hot Chilli Peppers play with their willies out" is trying its damndest to make me forget all about that. On April 7th, in the wee hours of the morning, the most fantastic lineup has come about, one to make Coachella would be attendees...

San Francisco Outside Lands Festival
2008-04-11 21:42
This could be the best festival out there this year. The bang for your buck is ultimate, especially since Radiohead is headlining. I figure you have to see them once up close and personal in your life. At least that's what all my friends tell me. I've yet to experience the brilliance.
Maybe...

Greg Laswell - How the Day Sounds
2008-04-11 21:14
Why we like it: Gregs second cd brings a brighter point of view to life than his prior Through Toledo. While still seeing the glass half empty, you can really begin to believe that Laswell is getting 'better.' With a new upbeat title track followed by new gems 'Salvation Dear' and 'Embrace Me,'...

2008-04-11 19:09
Why we like it: A UK girl to hopefully change the image that Amy Winehouse so verifiably destroyed for UK women who sing. This is a great CD if you're into poppy little numbers, and you're tired of that Back to Black cd, already (it's been a year, btw.) It's a poppy little number, but as always,...

She & Him - Volume One
2008-04-11 14:22
Why we like it: #1, Zooey Deschanel is HOT. Granted, music is for your ears and not for your eyes, but with this record, Deschanel definitely added more hot points to her count. This record is 12 very simple songs, and you won't find a lot of over-production here. She & Him could easily be...

Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha
2008-04-10 23:48
Why we like it: A must have for anyone who likes boy singers of non-traditional value. The multi-talented Bird offers up his musical and exceptional whistling skills that will have you whistling and singing along in no time. Graceful melodies with the right dash of catchy hooks makes this organic...

Peter Bjorn & John - Writers Block
2008-04-10 23:46
Why we like it: Young Folks. If you've yet to purchase this whistling gem, or heard it, go now. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 bucks. This cd gained no notoriety in their homeland of Sweden, but saw huge success in the UK, US and Ireland. The CD on the whole is pretty good, using synths,...
