The Black Keys - Attack & Release

Why we like it:  This two man band out of Akron, Ohio delivers a performance that anyone who can stomach (or loves) The White Stripes will appreciate.  Some upbeat tracks, some down tempo, you can pick and choose for what kind of gathering you are hosting on a saturday night.  Definitely influenced by its like artists, the southern sound doesn't go unnoticed, but, it's not unnerving.
Why we don't: There's nothing terrible on this record, but sometimes it isn't a conducive piece.  I'll find myself looking back at my ipod, making sure it really is The Black Keys, and I didn't drift to another artist.  Dan Auerbachs voice can wear on you after about 10 tracks as well.
